Tolerance

As everyone who knows me know, i have little intrest in politics. However, I have great vested intrest in rights, and i see my rights whithering. I know the federal government has no right to legislate marriage, that is the states' job, so why doesn't the government know it? It's not one of the things the constitution says they can do. Well, i suppose they do know it, since they seem to want to make the constitution say so.

I say marriage as a religious entity should be divorced from government altogether. Only civil unions should exist. That would preserve the 'sanctity' of marriage and give the gay communitee the same rights as the 'normal' people.

I really hate these bumper stickers. Men's Bathroom Plus Women's Bathroom Equals Marriage What does the international symbol for restrooms have to do with marriage? I don't believe we ever considered taking away the 'right' of marriage from the restrooms of America.

So, since you have all been waiting with baited breathe, I must inform you that my angelfire blog has been blocked by the evils of internet filtering. The entire Angelfire web site, including my very own pages, are blocked to me, so don't expect to be recieving informeation on any new pages there until I'm into UNO and have access to thier computer lab (hopefully). I am now officially anchored. My wife has a permanent teaching job. I now live in the most wonderfully sweaty place i have ever visited, where it rains everyday (not so bad) and I NEVER have a CHANCE of seeing snow (actually very bad, I love snow). And to top it off i am not more than a few feet above sea level, a hurricane could just blow away my home and all of my belongings, and there are roaches (bleh... shudder). On the bright side of things we now have something which may resemble an income! oh, and i'm going to a school which has an actual English major that doesn't seem to be fought tooth and nail for expenses. Sigh, oddly enough, if i stay inside all day it starts to look like a nice place to live.

Now the moving... the moving (pained moan). we have clocked our little gift-car up about seven or eight thousand miles in the last four weeks traveling from Louisiana to Alabama, Texas and Oklahoma and back. All this in an ant infested car. Who could have thought that little red biting ants would invade a car, bite its occupants and desecrate their food? Not I.

Final Note: the Walmart's seem to have something against Magic here... all i ever find is Yu-Gi-Oh. Not really all that surprising.

After much deliberation, i have decided to open a Saturday role play up to the rest of Austin. One person has responded, which is about a hundred more people than i thought would. Yah, apparently a GURPS Multi-Genre game is not too appealing to most. I've pretty much done nothing lately, going to class seems to be my only out-of-house experience. Please send me snail mail, as it gives me something to do. Hey, i made a new email just for the role play- squirrelofgod@yahoo.com -I would appreciate you not emailing it unless you live in Austin and want to join my role play though, makes it easier to tell who is who. "I was wrong to even argue with you. You see nothing but what you say, You are immobile and don't want to see the truth if it is not what you say it is. You are no longer worth my words." -My comment to you who are like this. Not that any of my readers are, but I'm sure there are some like this in the world. Reply to This
